Heat
the first time I watched this almost a year ago, I wasn't familiar with mann's style at all and while I like his late style with his digital shenanigans, heat is THE undeniable crime epic
even though it isn't apparent like it is in other films, there are glimpses of mann's late style in here, and I always love to see a director's stylistic evolution
