Frances Ha

Absolutely perfect. So densely packed with bright, original little moments and then rushes off to the next one. Probably the most quotable movie I’ve ever seen. Every inflection of every line plays like music. Gorgeous, sharp black and white photography all throughout. And now that I’ve seen Breathless I get what they were going for more.  Still, watching this for the thirtieth time at 25 I’m wondering what I got out of this at 16? Things that are so familiar to me now about it should have been so foreign to me then and yet, I loved it all the same.
