Top Gun

Finally got a proper rewatch in a theater after my first viewing was a car watch.  Soundtrack (specifically the main title theme at beginning and end) is perfect. I didn’t remember like the entire romance plot so i watched with mostly fresh eyes, it’s fun and classic.  I was also surprised in how much Val Kilmer isn’t here, I feel like he had so much cultural juice from being iceman but he was very much adjacent and never a forefront villain. Guess that’s just Val aura. Ps from Star Wars: One of the many reasons we can’t ever forgive Disney’s mishandling of Lucasfilm is because I watched every single second of the combat sequences in this movie, knowing that we were on the verge of seeing this with X-Wings and Tie Fighters but Hollywood refuses to do the right thing.
