Phantom Thread

"A house that doesn’t change is a dead house." I don’t think my words can fully sum up this movie. Every time I try to express how I feel about it.. I just can’t. from beginning to end, it fills me with such a mix of emotions, I really can’t describe it. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It’s so quietly intense and so emotionally layered. both characters are so complex and what I find fascinating is that they’re so alike in their complexity: both are really hard to understand and grasp. and their relationship is one of the most confusing I’ve ever seen, I couldn’t really tell if they liked each other or not but somehow, it’s also full of care and this strange quiet warmth. I can understand why some people might not like it but to me, everything about it is perfect.
