The Curse

Just finished the finale and I can safely say this is the most anxiety inducing piece of art I've ever seen. Can't quite put my finger on what genre this fits into - then again, maybe it doesn't want to fit into a genre. Is it horror? Is it comedy? Is it drama? Is it a satire on the modern world? Is it about trying to distance yourself from your past, while still being entrenched in said past? Or is it about male insecurity? Maybe it's a bit of everything. Emma Stone yet again proves she's one of our greatest living actors, adding something new yet familiar to each role she performs. Benny Safdie is SOOOO slimy in this, I love it. That one scene he has with Asher and the interview is... awful in the best way possible. Gonna leave the star rating blank on this entry because I think defies rating.
