10/10. Wow, I knew this film was gonna be good but this is one of my favorite films I’ve seen this year. Firstly, Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay both put in incredible performances to really capture what they were going through. The first half really showed their standard of living so well and how they still managed to barely cope, and then the second half was so incredible. We got to see Ma still recovering from the trauma she went through and still struggling even when she was free, and we got Jacks perspective of the outside world which was incredible. The dialogue was great and I loved when Jack would describe all the things he was seeing for the first time. Overall it is an incredible film and for some reason felt quite emotional towards the end when they both realized they actually had freedom together.
