Avengers: Infinity War
The Marvel logo in pure silence except the radio for help from Asgard sets the tone straight away, of a serious and how terrifying Thanos is after only being hinted at and shown a little bit in post-credit scenes. His armour being taken off after only one more Infinity Stone makes you understand how powerful they are. His opening speech to Thor and Loki is so menacing and further shows how evil he is. Also, him taking on the Hulk with little to no effort just shows his immense power without using any stones. Further killing Loki and Heimdall forces you to know this will be different and Thanos is so much stronger than all other villains that have been in previous MCU movies.
The CGI on Thanos is incredible; he looks hyper-realistic and menacing as a villain and fits in perfectly with every scene, even when characters touch and go near him, it actually looks like he's there. Iron Man's suit looks incredible and all of the different things he can do with the nanotech are amazing; it's a shame that after this everyone has it and just ruins how cool it is. The Guardians, even without Gunn, are just how they usually are—still being hilarious—and don't seem any different, keeping true to their characters and previous development.
Captain America's introduction, catching the spear and with the beard, the music, and him saving Vision, is so amazing. His entire suit and everything now are so much cooler than before. I like how Thanos' mission has a real meaning behind it, and it isn't just evil; he believes it's better for everyone, but the cost is insane to get what he wants by murdering millions of people.
Every fight scene is so perfectly written; all of their abilities and weapons link in with their fighting styles, looks incredible, and work so well, really carrying most of the movie along with the perfect writing, dialogue, and plot. The ending is something Marvel can't really do again, as this was the first time they ever lost.
