Superman

I had to rewatch this film because of how great it is, the colour grading is phenomenal; it truly makes the visuals stand out and pop, resembling a comic book — which is exactly how all superhero films should be. Every frame looks like it could be a piece of art on your wall. Once again, James Gunn delivers perfection. I don't even usually favour DC, but he crafted a stunning and gripping story that retains the charm of superheroes, complete with all their highs and lows. Also his comedy hits and never feels forced in a scene and he always lets emotional moments breathe but then can cut in comedy without making it seem forced. The soundtrack and score is, as always, a standout much like in all of Gunn's other work. He has a talent for bringing to life the most random and crazy heroes and villains, giving them depth, thoughts, and feelings. They fit so well within the comic-book style, making the story both vibrant and engaging. The characters are all perfect and have so much depth and development throughout and really help make the movie even more perfect. The costumes are phenomenal perfectly mixing comic and reality and it works, emphasizeing the silly and fun nature of superheroes. Also the CGI is insane krypto looked incredible and so did all the destruction, and the other things. Overall James Gunn, again makes perfection and uses his characters, his incredible writing to create the perfect start to the DCU. I've never like DC but after this. I LOVE IT!
