I watched the Secret Life of Walter Mitty the day before and this film seems like it's emo older brother. Both protagonists are stuck in a mundane and stagnant office job seeking a taste of adventure. Rather than fulfill this feelgood prophecy, After Hours turns it on its head and creates a night unlike no other for Paul. Scorsese's satire of his own neo-noir and thriller style is particularly awesome. I think this one remains as my favorite film for now.
