Moonlight

I went in expecting Waves levels of drama, but Moonlight is a much more mellow experience. The score builds and builds, but we never get that gut punch that I expect it to lead to. That and the lack of a real narrative story are my only complaints. The acting was great, the score was beautiful, and the cinematography offered some really cool shots (and I'm a sucker for any scene with that neon light color palette).
