Phantom Thread

The first PTA movie I've truly loved. Maybe the best looking movie I've ever seen, the use of color and the compositions of every shot were just stunning! I really loved the thematic understanding of how flawed we are in the ways we love and do and don't want to receive love. And the idea that our parents live on by us loving and being loved was so moving and beautiful. Just loved this as a two-person character study, and seeing the bits of each character that diffuse slowly into one another and the bits that separate and refuse to mix, and how they each make peace with that.
