Hamnet

This is the only movie of 2025 that I’ve watched multiple times in theaters, and it was better the second time.  Jessie Buckley is an absolute lock for best actress this year, and if there was an award for best acting overall, she would sweep. Paul Mescal not getting a nomination is criminal. And can’t forget about the Jupe brothers, such a cool detail that they’re related in real life, and both had phenomenal performances, especially Jacobi. And also the ending scene was actually perfect, though adding On the Nature of Daylight automatically makes any scene 10x better. I’m not expecting it to win best picture, but it’s definitely my favorite movie of the year.
