Joint Security Area

Oh out of order storytelling my beloved. it's so astonishing that Park Chan-wook made this movie and then followed it up with Oldboy, like this could generally be one of, if not the best back-to-back we've ever seen from a director. This movie was such an amazing story from start to finish. The movie would have been good on its own just as a straightforward mystery movie, but what we got is so much more emotional and such a deeply driven movie and you just can't help but have the most enjoyable experience possible. I also have to give props to our main three leads, Lee Young-ae, Lee Byung-hun, and Song Kang-ho (the goat). With those three being at the forefront of the story, they all execute their acting and their characters so well, and I also have to give props to our supporting cast of characters because everyone was amazing in this movie. I don't want to give anything away from the story, so I implore you to go and watch this movie. Rating: 10/10 Ranking: #58/1,901 57 - Brick (2005) 58 - Joint Security Area (2000) 59 - Nope (2022)
