Oldboy
This movie marks the 1st of 6 movies that I will be watching with my parents for my birthday weekend. These are all movies that are within my top 300 best and both of them have never seen, so naturally we started with an absolute banger that is Oldboy. This is legitimately one of the best action movies I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Everything is just so flawless about this movie, from the camerawork, to the set direction, all the way down to the soundtrack. I think the biggest thing that I absolutely love about this movie is how stylized it is. I love how it's not a straightforward action revenge type movie, Park Chan-wook actually has flair and over the top visuals that really tie everything within this movie together to be one of the greatest movies ever made. Surprisingly, my parents actually did like this movie and gave it a solid B grade.
