Squid Game

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2 NGL, I was a little disappointed by Squid Game 2. Honestly it's not hard to see why. I mean how do you follow up one of the biggest TV shows of all time. I will say I thought everything that happens before the game starts was basically perfect. It's exactly where I saw Gi-Hun's character going after his victory, and the Russian Roulette scene was very interesting. However once we got to the facility and the game started, it honestly didn't grip me as much as it did the first time around. Maybe that's just because I knew what was going to be expected with this season, but honestly I think it's the characters. I did not find the characters this season to be as engaging as in season 1. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but that's just how I feel. I do appreciate that it's not just the same games over again, but instead they created two new games as well as bring back red light green light as the opener. I kind of figured Red Light Green Light was going to come back, but again, I appreciate the creativity with the other two games. I can only imagine what season 3 holds in store for us. Also the last episode of the season was spectacular. It was so satisfying getting to see Gi-Hun shoot those pink guards. And yeah the Cliffhanger is definitely annoying, and feels more like there's a missing episode than an actual season cliffhanger, but I'm still very curious to see where the story will continue on from here. Overall while it's not a bad season, it definitely is not on the same level of quality as season 1. Season One 9/10 Season Two 7/10 Overall 8/10
