Oldboy
Nothing has ever challenged my favorite film as hard as this one! I don’t even want to talk about that though.
OLDBOY is quite possibly one of the most masterful works I’ve ever experienced in the theater. The intro scene was riveting! The cinematography of the roof scene mixed with mind bending score and engaging dialogue was enough material to write an entire book. I just love the story telling. The ending was perfect.
Park Chan-wook channeled some dark places to make this film. It’s gut wrenching, full of twists and turns, and it just sucks you right in! Each character becomes necessary to the plot, but it’s more than that, each character isn’t just needed but wanted! I don’t feel that way very often.
If you have ever desired to watch this film, DO IT! If you’re just learning about Oldboy and this speaks out to you, WATCH IT! See it in the theater if you can. It's a weirdo movie and I love it. It will make you laugh, maybe cry, feel angry, and maybe even make you vomit. Not many directors have accomplished what Park did with Oldboy.
Don’t read past this point if you plan on watching. No spoilers but I think going into this blind would be the best experience.

The villain has so much depth. His development alone is incredible! It would have been impossible for me to predict how the story would unfold.
Dae-su Oh’s character is incredible. His inner dialogue is fun. His look is iconic. What a legend! What a tragic ending. Did NOT see that coming.
K favorite things. The octopus, the hammer, the color green, the costume design, the score, the barking, the penthouse, the sunglasses, the tragedy, the henchmen, the beginning, and the ending.
