Sentimental Value
Everything about this movie really spoke to me , from the eldest daughter and her mental struggles , her relationship with her dad , all these scenes showing the characteristics we inherit from our loved ones , how everything we live is truly a sentiment. I felt like I was really the target audience being the sentimental and emotional person I am. I connected deeply with Nora more than I thought I would. Everything just made sense to me. The tears I cried over this movie are crazy, especially the last scene. The song choice just made me bawl. I’m really debating whether I should add it to my top 4 or not , and I also just wanted to add that Elle was such a great addition to this movie. Idk , I just feel like this movie was curated for me!!
honestly, it’s crazy how we all yearn for a home, whether it’s something physical or just a safe space. The house in the movie held memories worth hundreds of years, showcasing the cracks, corners, and every part of it. Every part of this house held memories for different generations and different people. I sometimes wonder why I’m attached to a place when I realize it’s really all about the memories it will forever hold. It’s truly so beautiful just the idea of it all. I really believe only a true sentimental person could understand the depth of this movie.
