The Wind Rises

Week #1: On a 4th rewatch, this felt better and even more devastating. I love this movie, more than any other. The only film I've experienced that devastates me with its ending; I got even closer to crying this time. But, the reason I love it is that it can make me feel this way, while making me feel alive as well. I must live, and I'll pursue my dreams to no one's detriment. Also, as I promised, I'll jolt down my thoughts about this challenge, now that The Wind Rises officially kicks off the second one. It was incredible, and really, really worth it. If you look at my top 20 favorite movies of all time, you'd see that a majority of them came from watching movies thanks to this challenge, like the number one: The Wind Rises. I'll be keeping this challenge alive for as long as I can, although I know that by next year, nothing will be the same in my life. But, however large the inevitable struggles and changes will be, I'll face them, because I must live.
