Shoutout to great visuals and Jacob Elordi’s performance but why did we have to change every message that made the novel so profound in the first place? Why did it need a happy ending? Why did we have to lose the messaging about society? Why is Victor finally not married to his sister figure but still lusting over her and then going emo upon rejection? Also… is Elizabeth being a monster fucker a recession indicator? What just happened guys.
