Challengers
So so so so so so so goddamn good. I remember seeing this in the theaters on opening day and just being completely awestruck at how incredible this movie was.
The chemistry between the three of them work so well together. Not only is everyone’s character lovable in their own Charms, but they also have the ability to be absolutely hated at the same time. That’s what’s so cool about this movie— the bad guy isn’t necessarily one person, it can kinda be whoever you want it to be.
The cinematography throughout is just stunning. Great color choices throughout; the greens and whites being so prominent and crisp makes me eyes so so happy.
The sexual tension expressed through tennis / the way it’s shot also is so creative and done so well. It feels so intimate at times in ways that you would never expect a tennis movie to feel.
Also not to mention, but the Trent Reznor score on this one is insane. The first movie that REALLY made me rethink my opinion on scores. Also a score I not only listen to regularly, but also spin regularly on vinyl.
Overall such a perfect movie. No complaints in my eyes!
