- Movie 8 of trying to watch 100 anime/foreign animated movies - ——————- Rewatch: ✅ Got to see in cinema ✅ (8th April 2023) Language watched in: Japanese —————— I was originally going to give 4 and a half stars as I remembered the film was REALLY good but not as much as I enjoyed Weathering with You and Suzume, but DAMN, after sitting down again and finally getting to watch this again, this is where Shinkai’s real peak started, banger after banger. This one WILL be getting rewatched soon and happily so as I have my hands on an unencrypted 2K DCP of this, I can imagine how the background’s will look with the elevated bitrate. Also the HDR grade for this movie is CRAZY, the line art, the backgrounds, the colours ALL benefit from the HDR elevation. —————- Source: 4K UK UHD
