Scream

Surprise, Sidney. It's my favourite for a reason. There's no second where I get bored, and I don't think I'll ever be. Never say "who's there?" Don't you watch scary movies? It's a death wish. You might as well come out to investigate a strange noise or something. One of the best meta-horror ever made, includes common clichés while addressing the problem; mental health of Sidney taking a big role as awareness; downplaying of women in the horror films; a great critique on the whole slasher genre and its tropes and banality. Careful. This is the moment when the supposedly dead killer comes back to life, for one last scare.> [Billy starts to rise] [shoots Billy]> Not in my movie. In my opinion, Scream is a cult classic and this is where Sidney starts her journey as THE final girl. (And also, I loved The Nightmare on the Elm Street references in the intro and the janitor Fred) (And I miss Sidney already. And Tatum. Randy, too.)
