Superman

With every rewatch, I notice new little details that even further legitimize the amount of genius that has been put into this movie. I firmly believe it's objectively the most faithful live action comic book movie ever made. You can have your favorite, and there are definitely films that come close, but Superman is literally ripped from the pages of a comic book, and it isn't even a direct adaptation. It just has the immaculate, undiluted essence of DC. This is what the DC universe feels like. Every detail is pure comic-accurate brilliance. I can rewatch this endlessly. That long third act set piece gets me jumping with joy every time I watch it. And I cried at the end again. It's inevitable at this point. I cannot wait for Brave and the Bold. A Batman film that feels like this, that takes place in this world; I'll transcend, I'll reach Nirvana.
