The Handmaiden

An absolute stunner of an experience, having known literally nothing coming into this film and also pleasantly surprised that I had this in my physical media collection already. Part one made for an okay film that I was enjoying, but parts two and three were the metaphorical haymakers I needed for this to be one of the best pieces of cinema I had seen. The cinematic equivalent of soft hands traveling down your spine and a cold whisper tickling your neck set within the narrative conventions of a heist film, what a time! ----- *Eighth film of the Jarhead Chronicles, submitted by Amelia *
