Heat

🔥84% I’ll be honest, 30 minutes into this I wasn’t that impressed after seeing Collateral and knowing this was supposed to be the superior Mann film. But those feelings were swept away as this was a film that only gets better as it goes along. Heat features great performances from top-tier actors, and the script provides lots for them to chew on. There are some seriously great action moments and some intense scenes. There’s one car chase scene in particular that single-handedly made me excited for Ferrari. The best part of the film though is the dialogue heavy scenes between our characters. The standout obviously being the one between Pacino and De Niro in the diner. It did feel like it was trying to juggle too much at some points, but that and the slow start are really my only complaints here. **All 2023 Viewings List 2023 First Watches**
