The Batman

Plot: I was hoping for a detective-driven Batman story and this film did not disappoint. I was pretty impressed with how they did the Riddler and adapted him for a more grounded, modern take on the characters. I loved the serial killer style that the Riddler was given and the Seven style case.
Characters: Pattinson is Battinson. He nailed Batman and I feel he actually did a believable Bruce Wayne, if not entirely comic accurate. As I said, I was pleased with how they did the Riddler. We have yet to see a less than exceptional Gordon and Selina was impressive.
Style: This is probably the divisive part of the movie. This movie is very artistic and articulate in the way that it is shot. It lingers on moments and goes longer than usual without dialog. It could be seen as very edgy and too dark or just not fit what some people like, and I get that… but I loved it. I thought it was beautifully shot. The action is phenomenal as well. A flair for the dramatic, but realistic and brutal.
There were a few awkward moments, but overall this movie was worth the hype and I’m more than pleased. I cannot wait to see more out of this Batverse
