Apparently they are remaking this.  Could it work?. Yes. I believe it will. Will it feel as real as this?. I doubt it.  Considering this is 40 years old, barely restored. It holds up relatively well. Except its use of the R-word.  This feels like documentary / fly on the wall type thing which makes it feel astonishingly real. Even patches up the productions shortcomings.  First act is better than its second. Doesn’t mean the second is bad or anything. Everything up to that nuclear attack is frighteningly tense. The attack scene, where the sound just cuts off and the negative image of the mother screaming was stained into my mind watching the rest of it.
