Alien: Romulus
this is, without a doubt, my favorite alien movie to date. it is easily the most unique, the best-paced, the most original in it's ideas and storytelling, and in my opinion, the perfect blend of every alien movie previous. this is easily my favorite movie this year. the feeling this movie gave me was indescribable. realistic and terrifying settings, paired with highly realistic actions made by the incredibly constructed characters, it just all comes together. fede alvarez is a fucking genius. this franchise needed this. horror needed this. i needed this. i love you fede alvarez and i love you ridley scott and i love you alien franchise. i could talk so much more, and I MIGHT when i see this again on saturday, but i am tired. i loved every second of this movie (except rook) and i hope other alien enthusiasts feel the same.
p.s.
this is the only horror film i have ever watched and genuinely been worried about having nightmares that night. i literally cried when that thing appeared. perhaps the most horrific creature i have ever seen depicted in a horror movie. worse than the demon motherfucker from smile.
