Star Wars

Watched the Blu-Ray version of the Special Edition… Happy May the 4th to all who observe! To celebrate the occasion this year my partner and I sat down to watch the film that started the franchise that has dominated pop culture for the past nearly fifty years. I had seen A New Hope many times before; this was my partner’s first time. We both had a fun time watching it, and I personally found it really interesting on my end to see how someone who had never seen the film reacted to it. And that fun is truly what Star Wars as a whole should be about, a strong story with slightly goofy energy at times - we laughed a bit at times like with the stormtrooper bonking his head or Luke’s line delivery. Regardless, we may watch the original theatrical cut eventually, but for now I really enjoyed that we just popped the Blu-Ray in and sat back. Will probably log again in the near future.
