Obsession
I hated this. I already don’t like horror that much and had my expectations moved to where the movie caught me off guard. Here’s what I will say
Excellent story
Incredible acting
Good cinematography, some felt a little gratuitous and I noticed a few inconsistencies between shots.
But this shit thoroughly terrified me enough to where I hate this movie and it JUST KEPT GOING
Edit: It’s about an hour since I’ve gotten out of the theater and I’ve kinda collected my thoughts to where I can give this a rating.
I don’t think it’s perfect. It’s got some inconsistencies between shots and some things don’t quite make sense, like the absence of the grandmother, but the story and what it means and the overall frustration at Bear carry this forward. I still hate it. But I can’t deny the genius behind the camera in making a character who I can see myself in during act one, and then make me and all of us deeply hate him.
EDIT 2: Never done this before but a week and a half after seeing this I’m bumping it up to a 9/10
