Gladiator II

dare i say amazing social commentary..... tbh i was super excited leading up to its premiere but after when everyone boiled the movie down to how attractive the characters are kinda put me off watching it for so long, truly it made me so uncomfortable (even if i did agree) like this movie is the sequel to a movie that literally revolutionized movies and how we view them, one of the most iconic and monumental movies of the 21st century and we're not talking about what the movie is actually about??? 😭??? the characters were so complex, and it was a true sequel and continuation of gladiator. lucilla character being so incredibly fleshed out was so satisfying to see because she is continuously robbed of so much in the movies, her honor, her family, her dignity, and to know she still had her son fighting for her is HHAHEBFKSJBD i love lucius lucius is so incredibly complex because he harbors such an anger, he loses one family to gain another, everything happens so quickly that he cannot process his grief into anything else but anger towards acacius, because he doesn't understand that caracalla, geta, and ultimately macrinus are the true enemies i wish caracalla and geta got more development with their characters except for oooh tyrannical caesars of rome!! overall it was a great movie i loved it!!!
