Superman: Red Son

my second rewatch of this actually changed my brain chemistry bc there were so many things i missed in the first watch ;; the way dc was able to break down the economics, politics, and historical factors to fit the story while making them still accurate is not only impressive but also super interesting to look into. ive found it easier to stomach the concept when you break the trinity down into 'communism' (marxism more accurately), anarchism, and feminism with lex luthor representing capitalism. while superman and wonder woman both stay quite accurate to their modern day earth 0 counterparts, it's really interesting to see how they've portrayed batman, anarchism seems to be totally out of bounds for earth 0 batman but we can see how easily it's swayed from timeline to timeline based on circumstances and how minor changes can turn the trinity from being friends in one universe to enemies in another. a super enjoyable movie for history and sociology buffs very cool concept LUVAT 😋
