Troy
great movie, they did the iliad justice. hector and paris weren't necessarily the bad guys and neither was achilles, they all had short ends of the stick.
paris was blinded by naivety and hector had to pay the price for that, achilles was doing what he was told until it became revenge. both the trojans and spartans were in the wrong.
the iliad is a story rooted deep in misogyny with both kingdoms hating helen for her husbands actions because she was a victim of her husband. depending on the myth she was kidnapped from her home while her father was a funeral, troy retaliated with the only thing they had; men.
literally just asking nicely couldve set aside this whole war.
anyways hector was fine as hell, odysseus could get it, and achilles and patroclus should've kissed. ik by all technicalities achilles and patroclus were cousins but THAT DIDNT NEED TO BE IN THIS PLEASE
this was just an excuse to see men in miniskirts fight for 3 hours
