Good Time
Doesn’t even feel like a whole film as it moves so fast throughout. Didn’t realize that not a whole lot happens in this film, but comparing it to the insanity that Uncut Gems is difficult. Rather than being as chaotic as Gems, I find this one more exploitative and Pattinsons characters is less redeemable, which makes the viewing experience more bitter. Characters in this though are super well written and engaging. Also, wow this soundtrack infused with the Safdies directing is phenomenal. The ending of this film is such a drastic mood change for the final five minutes and it makes me cry, Benny Safdies performance must never be forgotten here, it’s just as important as Pattinsons.
