Dune: Part Two

IMAX is the only way to watch these films. I saw it at AMC Lincoln Center 13, which hosts the largest IMAX screen in the world. I don't remember the last time I was this enshrouded in the art. It just made me so excited and renewed my love for the medium. Every sequence was so damn exciting. It was like we were watching a new new testament being written. That worm riding scene... that gladiator scene... that nuke scene... the battle scene... god. I have to say my favorite character is Stilgar. Javier Bardem's embodiment of a hypebeast with devout faith in Paul and his "as it is written" whenever Paul passes a test is such a holy sight to behold. I think we underestimate how much of a cultural impact this series will have - this is the Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings of today. Long live the fighters!
