Loki
there is something so cruel and beautiful about finally getting everything you've ever wanted only after you've stopped wanting it.
loki spent his whole life trying to escape being alone. in the end, he chose it. the throne he spent his entire life fighting for was never what fulfilled him. it was friendship. it was family. it was finally having people worth staying for. and when he finally found them, he chose to let them go so they could have a future.
he finally got the throne. just not the one he spent his whole life chasing.
“I know what I want. I know what kind of god I need to be. For you. For all of us.”
that line shattered me because it reminded me that this is no longer the loki who invaded new york. somewhere along the way, the god of mischief became someone willing to carry the weight of every timeline if it meant everyone else got to live. not because he wanted glory, but because it was the right thing to do.
and tom hiddleston... i genuinely can't imagine anyone else carrying this character for a decade and making every version of him feel like they were leading to this one final moment. what a performance. what an ending.
