The Matrix

One of the most influential movies of its generation, a high bar in the sci-fi genre & a goddamn masterpiece to boot. Not a weak link to be seen; action, direction, story, cinematography, score, editing. Everything is perfection. The Wachoski’s set out to make a live action Ghost in the Shell. They not only crushed their goal but raised the bar impossibly high. Few have reached it since.
