“Humans only have one ending. Ideas live forever.” THIS WAS SUPER DUPER AMAZING!!!!!!!! Greta Gerwig is SUCH a fantabulous director and has honestly NEVER made a bad movie in my opinion. This was so much deeper and emotional than I could have ever anticipated, while keeping its beautiful foreseeable Barbiesque atmosphere. I loved every single thing about this movie from the dazzling production design to the awesome soundtrack. Margot Robbie was simply perfect as Barbie and delivered such a joyful yet poignant performance. Ryan Gosling, however, stole the show for me. His kenergy was off the charts, I mean he was kenning left and right, kenning on the beach, kenning in the real world, he kenned until he simply could not ken anymore and this movie helped change the kenjectory of my life for the better. His performance was so dramatic yet goofy. He was funny and was the perfect person to play Ken. Honestly, the entire cast was so good, I especially adored Michael Cera as Allan. I simply loved the Tame Impala song that played when Barbie and Ken journeyed into the real world and I also loved Dua Lipa’s song that played at the dance party (which was probably my favorite scene). Another GREAT scene was the Ken fight, boy oh boy was that such a fun sequence. Anyway, the writing was on point, the entire vibe was so fucking amazing, and overall this was a lot more powerful and moving than I would have ever expected.
