Truly influential for it atmosphere and camera technique as well as hints of possible world building from start to finish. Controversial and horrific. Time tho hasn’t done much favors for this film still had a lot in this installment but also left room for even more.
The sequel that caught everyone by storm. Ash Williams became a horror icon in this film with horrific demonic imagery and morbid humor chainsaw and all surpasses the original and builds a whole world that we all became terrified and in love with.
Leaning more to the morbid humor the prophecy is coming to past as ash stumbles to…well the past. Medieval England houses ash Williams as he helps take down the Evil. Great humor and Bruce Campbell is a treat as always.
If this came out sooner. Reboots would not have a bad rep. This films takes the same concept as the first with a small tweak then amplifies it to an 11. With body horror and terrifying situations that will have you on the edge and praying but with an epic ash Williams like climax.
And they’ve done it again. Reimagining what or when the worst will come. Amazing open title sequence and an amazing atmosphere through out the film. Tho different then our usual cabin in the woods it still captures what makes the franchise great.
One of John carpenters master pieces capturing our fears of the unknown. The personification of evil Michael myers with his blank face shows the possibility that evil can live amongst us even someone like a little boy the beginning of a horror icon and one the greatest final girls of this time and possibly ever.
