Amélie
This movie is like a lovely antidepressant pill for me. Whenever I watch it, everything around me changes magically, making me realize that magic truly exists in this world in many forms. There’s an Amélie for all of us, and she loves us, our guardian angel.
I know many people are morons, alright. So if they are morons, go and annoy them, create chaos, because they are morons. And dance, dance like a doll, just like Amélie—pure chaos for Collignon, because most of us forget Collignon. :(
When we feel sad, we think our childhood is a snake, a poison. But no there’s always the dead yet alive Bretodeau. Indeed, life is very funny, right? Isn't it? To a kid, time always drags. Then suddenly, you’re fifty. All that’s left of your childhood fits in a rusty little box.
But it exists, and everything is alive even non-living things. That’s what existence is all about. it’s not just about biological limitations.
It’s better to help people than garden gnomes because maybe that’s the only superpower we all have, perhaps a divine gift left in Pandora’s box.
As Amélie said, "At least you'll never be a vegetable—even artichokes have hearts."
