One of my favourite details of this movie is the city, its nameless and raining every day except for the last one, at least from what I remember, there’s a death on every corner and it’s kind of a cops nightmare. Yet Somerset, the guy who is so eager to get out of the city, is the one who is willing to continue to fight for it by the end of it all. The main part of the movie, the murders and John Doe is interesting and fun, but I think this movie really shines in its look at the two detectives we follow. I mean they are the main characters, not John Doe.
