Even at home 14 years later, being introduced and immersed in Pandora remains an absolutely magical and wonderful experience. Sure it's clichê and the overarching story has been done before, but who cares? Not every movie needs to have a revolutionary narrative, especially one that offers a whole new world with revolutionary visuals, that look this good, are so exciting to explore and clearly have so much passion behind it. The themes and messages are very obvious, but is that even a bad thing? Avatar offers a whole new world and is filled with meaning and purpose as a blockbuster of the grandest scale and it is such a great time. The music is really good as well, and the action is fantastic.
