Avengers: Endgame
bro, i don't even care if it's 2025 and everyone is burnt out on superhero movies, avengers endgame is still the greatest cinematic event of our lifetime. i've probably rewatched the final hour fifty minutes and i still get chills every single time cap catches mjolnir.
the portals scene. this is peak fiction. seeing every hero we've followed for ten years walk through those portals while the theme music swells is a 10/10 moment. if you didn't lose your mind when sam said 'on your left', you actually have no soul.
cap with the hammer. i don't think a theatre has ever been as loud as when steve rogers proved he was worthy. it's the biggest 'w' in mcu history. the emotional payoff. robert downey jr. as iron man gave us the most perfect ending a character could have. that final snap still hits like a freight train even six years later. 'i am iron man' is the coldest line ever delivered.
the scale. the russo brothers managed to balance like fifty main characters and somehow gave everyone a moment to shine. the time heist was a genius way to revisit the glory days of the mcu while moving the plot forward.
the visuals. even in 2025, the cgi on thanos and the final battle looks better than most of the slop we've been getting lately. it looks incredible on a high-end 4k setup.
i'm giving this five stars. it's the perfect conclusion to the infinity saga and we're probably never gonna see anything this big and this well-executed ever again. it's streaming on disney+ and it's a mandatory rewatch at least once a year.
