Inception
Exposition dumps can be good, actually.
I think after all these years The Dark Knight assuredly remains Christopher Nolan’s magnum opus: unforgettable, urgent, engrossing and thematically purposeful. But I feel like Inception might be his best film overall. Innovative, the right amount of cerebral, crafted to the 9s, but also emotionally resonant in a way his movies usually rarely are. A real magnificent showcase for Nolan at his best that I feel he still has yet to totally recapture with his more recent films (it truly is a remarkable feat that he pulled off what I would consider his best films — The Prestige, *The Dark Knight *and Inception — one right after the other in a row). One of the best of the 2010s for my money’s worth.
