Inception

At this point, why lie? This isn’t just my favorite Nolan movie, it’s one of my all-time favorites. One of the handful of movies that grips me from minute one and never lets go. Cleanly constructed, cool as hell, beautifully realized, and as far as I’m concerned, a masterclass in leveraging exposition between character dynamics, plot propulsion, and the set-up/payoff of ideas. It’s true that The Dark Knight is probably Nolan’s magnum opus, but this movie is the most quintessentially him. His biggest and best utilization of his bag of tricks, and maybe even his finest discharge of catharsis. It’s beautiful. I love it so much
