Alfred Hitchcock at his best as it reveals who he really is at his darkest.
The control over this movie is crazy. You can talk about a single scene for hours. The blocking, the movement, the colors, the emotions portrayed, the voyeuristic feeling you get while watching it; it all had to be planned. This couldn’t have happened otherwise.
I actually hated Midge this time while watching it and loved Scottie while usually it’s the other way around. I don’t understand how a movie can manipulate my emotions in so many different ways. Ah. AHHH. It’s scary.
God have mercy on us
