2024 rankedholy fuck. robert eggers best?? easily the best movie of the year for me. everything about this movie is flawless.the cinematography, the costumes, and the set pieces all contribute to this eerie gothic vibe that eggers has mastered. the sound design and prosthetics for orlock were also incredible. and this movie is prob the best acted movie of the year. bill skarsgårds count orlock rivals austin butlers feyd-rautha as the best villain preformance of the year, and nicholas hoult went on a historic run this year, ending it with this masterpiece. and i feel like we couldve used a little bit more willem dafoe, but just about every movie could use a little more willem dafoe. but lily-rose depp stole the fucking show. mikey madison was my pick for best actress for a solid 10 hours, but now its lily-rose depp. tbh, she mightve given my favorite preformance of the year tbh. and this movie scared the shit out of me, but the scariest part has to be the fact that i watched it with my parents. overall, i consider this eggers best and the best movie of the year.
