The Master

Freddie:Master: I can fix himThe Master is one of the most introspective and human pieces of cinema ever made. Freddie looks at Lancaster as his master, and Lancaster looks at Freddie as not only a companion, but a suppressed part of himself - the primal, animalistic part of himself that society and the real master, Peggy, has forced him to hide. Freddie can’t stay on a leash and Lancaster can’t run wild with him, and for those reasons they can never be together as master and companion. Simply put, one of the best films ever made. Constantly lingering on my mind, my favorite movie to sit and think about. I hope one day I can figure it all out.
