Obsession

Curry Barker uses his full array of weapons to leave the audience unbelievably suspended in what might be the scariest/craziest movie I've ever seen. Everything is so in-your-face and it doesn't pull even the slightest of punches. I wouldn't describe the scares and tense moments as hidden in plain sight, but rather meeting you exactly where you are and forcing you out of your comfort zone. So many times during this film I wanted to turn away or cover my eyes due to the sheer dread that came with every passing second of every scene, largely due to Inde Navarrette's indescribable performance and her chemistry with the protagonist Bear played expertly by Michael Johnston. No matter how predictable it seems to get it will always come up with something new and it never stops getting more terrifying. I cannot wait for Curry Barker's next film and can do nothing but hope it is executed with the highest degree of flawlessness as this movie is. Overall a normal 5/5 and my new sixth favorite move of all time.
