Normal People
The most realistic adaptation of the complexity of human emotion, thoughts, and relationships I've ever seen. I've never truly understood characters as much as I did Connell and Marianne even though I was still unsure of their thought process at times. You understand and get to know the characters more and more. You feel anger boiling up but you also feel true relief. The scene I can't stop thinking about is the Skype scene in connell's room. The writers understand the human experience on such a deep level that goes beyond the logical 1+1 relationships that us as an audience are used to. Not everything always works even when you want it to or even when it should. It hits you in your core because it's real life.
